Indoor hydrotherapy baths equipped with jets that mixed air and water were first introduced in the early 1960s. People soon discovered that the baths were not only therapeutic, but relaxing and pleasurable as well. The jets were quickly adapted to wooden hot tubs and the spa industry was born.

By the late 1960s the first fiberglass spa was introduced. These early models were crude by today's standards of style and quality. In 1979, all that changed when three young men developed an innovative spa that delivered superior quality and performance - and Sundance Spas was born. Since 1979, Sundance Spas has been setting the industry standard for quality, safety and durability.
